My Headfirst Crash Into The Generation Gap

I just realized that this current generation of people in their 20s-30s will probably be the last ones to say that they spent their youth without the ability to carry their entire music collection, that is, every single damn song they ever wanted upon their person in something that can fit comfortably in a bag or large pocket.

It amazes me to think that kids born these days will find the idea of not having ALL of your music instantly available to them on a whim to be about as inconceivable as not breathing oxygen.

Man, I’m old.

  • Read your blog, seems interesting, and I enjoyed it. Good comments/thoughts on the generation.

I often think about this type of thing. I am proud to be able to say that we didn’t have a computer when I was born, and that our first “big” computer was a new gateway pentium 100. I’m also proud to be able to say that I programmed on an Appple IIe in 5th grade, before the internet was really around. Given, I didn’t know what i was really doing, and I just basically coppied code from a book… I still am proud of it :) .

Anyway, I am not here on accident actually, you own “shoelessone.blogspot.com” and as you may or may not notice, i currently own “www.shoelessone.com”, “www.shoelessblog.com”, “www.shoelessphotography.com”, as well as shoelessone at hotmail, gmail, yahoo, etc, etc. By “own” I dont really mean “own”, I simply mean that its my thing. Anyway, I see that you own shoelessone.blogspot.com, and I also see that its forwarded to this blog. I was wondering if there might be anyway that you’d be willing to give it up if I maintained a link to this place at the top of the blog you current have set up. Or, perhaps you could just add a link to “shoelessblog.com” and “xanga.com/shoelessone” to your site (like for instance, “if you are looking for the other “shoelessone”, try _–__” or something.

Anyway, either way, i’ll be checking back here occasionally. Cheers Wayne!

  • Actually, you can probably have the original address if you want it, but you’d have to get in touch with my wife to see how to go about it, as I don’t understand a thing about the internet works. You can get in touch with her by clicking on her link in this blog, Charlene Chua.
