Too Curious For My Own Good
I have to admit, after reading on IGN that an award winning porn film about pirates is not only the most expensive porno ever made, but has now also been recut for a rated “R” release, I am insanely curious to actually watch this thing and see what it’s like. Unfortunately the odds of this happening are extremely low since pornography is illegal in Singapore.
No, I am not making that up.
Yes, you can be charged and arrested for owning porn. And again, no, I am NOT making that up.

I haven’t seen the film, but I’ve got a good guess about what it’s like–namely a porno with slightly better costumes and sets, but the same horrible direction, script and acting. The problem with trying to take pornogrpahy in this direction is that no matter what your intentions are, you’re still limited to the same (lack-of) talent pool of people willing to have sex on camera, which ultimately dooms any project like this before it’s even been started. And as the for R-rated version, well I can only imagine an entire film made up of the scenes people (and by people I mean guys) usually fast foward through to get to what they really want to see.
But, hey, I could be wrong. Maybe the movie rocks!
