Hadoken In The Bar

< ![CDATA[

Sunday afternoon was spent wandering Queen’s Park because of The Word On The Street Book & Magazine festival, which is just all the publishers in the Toronto area (and there are a lot of them) setting up tents to promote that crazy literacy thing that supposed to be all the rage with the kids these days.  After that however, we went over to Bloor and the Italian restaurant Rocco’s to attend an event in their bar; the launch of the Streetfighter Tribute art book.  The Wife’s Chun Li picture actually got selected for the book and since the publishers are local, they invited her to come down, sit at the table and do that Signing Thing while a Streetfighter tournament (not with the new SF IV, but the older versions on the PS2) was held.  It was a bit alarming in one sense because admist the hooting, hollering and general machismo I suddenly realized that I felt EXACTLY like I was in a sports bar… but surrounded by nerds.  I still have no idea how to react to that.

And, randomly, here is another picture I took from WipeOut HD, with a Bladerunner-y sort of feel to it.
