Another Day Of Errands

Most of the day was spent on Bloor shopping for all the “essentials” for an artsey couple, that being coffee, art supplies, Asian groceries, North American groceries, and, on sale at the Evil Bookstore, a Blu-Ray copy of Neil-O’s Beowulf

.  Yes, my movie viewing tendencies have dropped off appallingly since we got back to Canada and I still haven’t seen this movie.  Or The Dark Knight for that matter.  Yeah, yeah, I’ll get around to it, don’t worry.

I Can’t Believe It’s Almost Over

When I got this in the mail today, it was with a mix of both hand rubbing anticipation and mild sadness mixed with dread.  For the last few years, Battlestar Galactica has been one of the single, greatest things to ever happen to science fiction television.  Yes, in my opinion better than Babylon 5 and, in a fit of heresy, yes, better than Star Trek .  Waaaaaaaaaaaay better.

But now, with this latest installment in my hands, it means one thing; the ride is almost over.  Season 4 is the final chapter of this ground breaking series for SF-TV, and once it is all said and done (and it NEEDS to be all said and done, all good stories are done eventually) then what happens when the light is put out?  Where do I turn for an SF-TV experience like this once it’s all over?  WHERE CAN I GO?!?

That’s the problem with something as good as this.  You feel the lack when it’s not there anymore, kind of like when your significant other goes on a trip without you.

And Done

I’m pretty amazed by how quickly I managed to finish Mirror’s Edge for the first run through.  It’s not that I was particularly good at it, I just enjoyed it so much that the hours flew by.  Now to collect all the extra trophies for it.

Ill Gaming Continues

Since the Wife has nothing better to do than Take It Easy while getting our sleeping hours well and truly wrecked by a doctor’s appointment in the morning, she’s powering through Persona 4 .

It is good to be married to a gamer.  Even if you’re too tired to grind from hours of already doing said activity, she’ll take up the next shift and a few hours later when you’re ready to go again, you’re even more leveled up than before.
