Wow.
Every once in a while a game comes along that surprises you simply because you had no (or even low) expectations about it. This is one of those games. Best described as “Electro Jr. Goes To Liberty City,” Infamous is a non DC/Marvel superhero game. You control a guy named Cole suddenly imbued with eletrical based super powers and are let loose in a Grand Theft Auto styled open world. The results, as you can imagine, are chaotic. I actually wasn’t paying too much attention to this game, despite the fact that it had been hyped almost since the dawn of the Playstation 3, but after playing with the demo last week, I was intrigued. After picking it up today, I am impressed. It is incredibly fun to run around, grinding across power lines while hurling lightning balls at people and climbing around the sides of buildings with the agility of an electrified monkey.
