Avoiding The Lies
I hate April Fool’s Day for the simpl reason that it makes it extremely difficult to trust anything that’s announced. Media blackout for today.
In Space, No One Can Hear You Wet Your Pants
Finally got around to picking up Dead Space another one of those titles Electronic Arts has been releasing in its bid to try and do something original. When the game first released last year, it did okay. It made some money for EA, just not gobs of it. But I have to say, after my first sit down with it, I’m impressed. The game has genuine scares. They’re almost entirely made up of the typical North American horror jump/gore scare, but the it’s done to such a sharp, polished degree that it works very well. I’m actually enjoying it quite a bit. Between Skate, Skate 2, Mirror’s Edge and Rock Band 2, I find I now have an embarrasingly significant number of EA titles in my collection. But strangely, no regrets. They’re all solid games.
