On The Edge

The Mirror’s Edge to be specific, a title we finally got around to picking up today while getting the replacement phone.  It was one of those games I’d been meaning to pick up for a while, but it got lost in the deluge of quality titles that always hits towards the end of the year.  I really enjoy it.  It’s basically a “First Person Parkour” game, something I thought would be impossible to pull off given how limited the first person perspective can be in games, but somehow, DICE nailed it and it’s quite an exhilarating experience.  Also a bit nauseating when you look down and see how high up you are as you leap roof tops.  The game could have been subtitled “Height-O-Phobia” and worked just as well.
