Local Pride

Critter

Thursday turned out to be Canadian Day on the Playstation Store, maybe even Toronto Day specifically.  The Rock Band store got hit with two songs by Alanis Morrisette (Yeah, yeah, I know, she moved to Toronto from Ottawa and doesn’t even live here anymore.  Rush does though.  Whoo.) and even more importantly, a new downloadable puzzle game dropped called Critter Crunch done by Capybara Games.  Frighteningly, their office is down the street.  I should probably hit them up one of these days and hang out.  It’s nice to see local game development get recognition like this.

And the game is DAMN CUTE.

Unfortunately Afrika has now been delayed to October 14th.  Which means its now likely to get entirely ignored thanks to the work of A Dude Named Tim.

  • I had to buy “Ironic” but managed to hold off on “Hand in My Pocket”. I also purchased “Baba O’Reilly” because I’ve been experimenting with singing and playing guitar at the same time and thought The Who classic would be in my vocal range–turns out I was right.
