Quiet Riot
Aside from finishing up the print version of the Jaffe interview, all I did today was meet up with another new writer and, of course, “endure” the “carnage” and “mayhem” that was an underwhelming riot in downtown. From what I gather, the broken windows at a few retailers were the result of bored, weekender kids coming in from satellite towns with the sole purpose of Stirring Shit Up from the safety of large crowds so that they could hide there from cop reprisal.
So much for actually wanting to make a difference. It must be pretty sad to be a legitimate protester with an actual issue these days knowing that you’re just camouflage for punks out to break stuff.
