Really Dead Again

The visit to the neighborhood console repair place was a bust.  It turns out that “Yellow Light of Death” is, 90% of the time, a problem with thermal paste needing to be reapplied to the board after extended use has burned it away.  But YLOD, as it’s commonly known is actually supposed to represent general, catastrophic hardware failure.  My PS3 has now officially entered into that 10%, with the guy at the shop telling me that my onboard memory is corrupted.

This is going to take some drastic action, I’m not losing my Rock Band data AGAIN.
