Tickling Ivories

Or in this case, plastic made to resemble ivories.  The keyboards for Rock Band 3 came in.  My experience in piano is helping… but not as much as I’d thought.  And in some ways, it’s hindering me, as my brain takes an extra step of translating the note charts on-screen to traditional musical notation before I can figure out which key to press.  I think in a lot of ways, people with no musical experience will take to this faster than people that learned the old fashioned way.
