Saturday Night’s All Right (For Sucking)

Managed to get through the basic and medium difficulty trainers for keyboards, which probably helped a lot to get back some of my technique.  At least I can pass Just Like Heaven on Pro Expert Keys now…

Note To Self

Don’t attempt to play Imagine on Pro Expert Keyboard for at least another two months.  It’s just too heart breaking.

Tickling Ivories

Or in this case, plastic made to resemble ivories.  The keyboards for Rock Band 3 came in.  My experience in piano is helping… but not as much as I’d thought.  And in some ways, it’s hindering me, as my brain takes an extra step of translating the note charts on-screen to traditional musical notation before I can figure out which key to press.  I think in a lot of ways, people with no musical experience will take to this faster than people that learned the old fashioned way.

Playing Rock Band 3…  My band looks more bad ass than ever.

Thank you Harmonix, for sending a copy of Rock Band 3 to the office.

Also, we have new furniture, mostly to accommodate the new TV that needs a better shelf since the old TV position was done mostly in consideration of its weight and size.  The new flat screen is easier and light to position.

The Final Weekend

Time to give Rock Band 2 a proper send off in preparation for next week.
